I have learned a lot about growing up Jewish from members of my Israel-Palestine group. How they were encouraged to be uncritically supportive of Israel but taught little or nothing about Palestine before or after 1948. (The film ISRAELISM shows some of this.) It's helped me understand, e.g., AIPAC and its supporters better.
