I'm sorry, but this business about "undecided" voters needing to know more about the policy positions before they can make up their minds is just so much hypocritical BS. The "undecideds" are simply trying to sound intelligent by making that assertion, rather than being honest enough to own up to their ignorance or biases.

I mean, have they been living under rocks since 2016 and are only now coming up for air? The fact that we have "undecided" voters in the face of such a polarizing election, when the differences between the two candidates could not be more divergent or clear cut, is simply a reflection of their abysmal ignorance and stupidity.

Let's call a spade a spade.

I'm sorry but you're the one who's been living under a rock all these years. You still think the Democrats are the good guys, they're absolutely not. There aren't any good guys. Every US president is guilty of crimes against humanity.

Actually, you're low information. And bothsides is a fallacy.

ONE of the contestants is an adjudicated rapist and felon who promises FASCISM. The other was responsible for ending a pandemic that was killing 5 thousand per day under Trump..

You're a Trump cultist who is lying. Just admit it.

Trump has said that on day one he will be a dictator. He has said that he will weaponize the Dept. of Justice and arrest and imprison his political "enemies," including Obama and Clinton. He plans to set up detention camps in the U.S. And these people say they need to see Kamala Harris' "fine print" before they decide whether to vote for her or Trump? Seriously?!

These people are not undecided voters. They are Trump supporters or not going to vote at all. One of the so-called undecideds on a CNN panel after the DNC turned out to be a longtime Trump supporter. CNN didn't even bother to read his social media, where he has declared his love for Donald Trump for years. If journalists are going to report on the undecideds, the least they could do is make sure they really are undecided. For example, a simple scan of their social media before they label them undecided and give them national attention could be helpful. As a former journalist, I just ask them to do their jobs.

I don’t really believe there are truly undecided voters at this point. They seem to get a lot of attention this time of the election cycle. Remember Joe the Plumber and all the attention this guy got? I really believe if your undecided at this stage you don’t really follow what’s going on and don’t really care or you want the attention your afforded by being the so called undecided voter. It’s bs and I hate how the press keeps giving them so much attention they don’t deserve. I’m

Sorry but if you really can’t decided between Trump and Harris after all these years, you’ve been under a rock or your really a Trumper.

These people likely voted for Trump and will probably do so again. The antidote is mammoth Democratic turnout.

I agree with Elizabeth. I watched as much as I could stomach of the CNN undecideds voter conversation and it is clear that 20% of them may have been truly undecided, the rest were not going to be changed by anything they saw. For 2 of 10 that may have been undecided, they must not have watched the DNC or needed to see Harris handle Trump like a a young bratty boy who would not stop whining until his brother dumped his mashed potatoes on him (great story from Mary Trump). BTW everyone laughed at him, something which Harris played perfectly.

Rather than focus on the undecided, our time would be better spent getting out the vote of new voters. I have to wonder about the critical thinking skills of anyone who is undecided.

The media is setting a trap for Harris. If she had spoken in detail about her policy proposals they would have crucified her for boring people (themselves in particularl) just like they did to Gore. David Broder, the WaPo’s revered “Dean of Washington Journalists”, griped that Gore had talked so much in his acceptance speech about what he would do if elected that Broder almost fell asleep. I still wonder what the heck Mr. Broder thought Gore should have talked about.

In contrast journalists covering the campaigned loved that Bush gave them demeaning nicknames (Frank Bruni was Panchito, David Gregory was Stretch) and complained that Gore was too focused on policy to pay attention to those kinds of things. They admired Bush, not for his policy ideas such as they were, but because they believed he would be “more fun to have a beer with”. I see no evidence that the media has changed since then.

Elizabeth is right on. They are uninformed, not undecided. I spend a lot of time knocking on doors for state and local candidates in Missouri, and the most common response is, "I'll do my research." Remarkably, their noses don't grow as they say this. So guess how I record this on my canvassing app? You guessed it. Undecided.

I am afraid that the reason the undecided vote is so hard to unpack is that it is, in part, masking a (not so) hidden sexist/racist agenda that was unleashed and validated during the Trump administration; a presidency that rode into existence on the tide of the backlash to the Obama presidency. Sadly, the country simply was not ready to embrace a black president and is even less ready for a non-white woman president.

I'm not undeclared. I'm not voting for either of the genocide enablers. I'm not going to be complicit in the genocide. I'm voting for Jill Stein. The fact that Dick Cheney, war criminal and enabler of torture endorsed Harris should actually scare the fuck out of you🤦‍♀️ Harris's policies will be identical to Trump's. Just like Biden's have. Biden illegally closed the border the ACLU is suing him, just like Trump did. Biden is also building Trump's stupid wall. A closed and walled border doesn't just keep people out, it also keeps people in. Oh, it was a Democrat line item in the recently passed NDAA that made selective service registration automatic. No matter which monster wins the election, we will lose.

Jasmine, I urge you to consider that while voting for Stein may feel virtuous, if it helps Trump win, it may be the last vote you ever get to cast. And what should scare us the most is that even evil Dick Cheney finds Trump too evil to support. On the border wall, it is 20 miles that Congressional funding requires to be built; Biden tried, unsuccessfuly, to get the law rescinded. As to selective service registration, it is mostly a streamlining of existing practice: most states already automatically register men when they get a drivers license. Issues are complex and we, as humans, want simple, clean answers. But thowing your vote away is no answer at all.

No, Cheney thinks Harris is more ruthless. Also, Trump's dementia pretty much rules him out to competentl run WWIII. The ruling class will be deciding on the winner of the election. There are no good guys. They're all monsters. At least Jill won't bomb children.

Stop LYING. IT'S DESPICABLE.

Jill is FUNDED by Putin who told Hamas to KILL 1700 ISRAELIS, which started the current outrage.

If the Greens were serious, they'd run LOCAL elections.

Are you in touch with Cheney's psyche? And how can you employ the prhase "to competently run WWIII"? Do you truly think Trump's dementia and incompetence would make a nuclear war any safer for children? And remember, he has a 100% better chance of getting elected than does Stein.

Stop puking RUSSIAN DISINFORMATION.

And you're REPEATING Youself.

JILL STEIN is funded BY PUTIN. YOU ARE SUPPORTING FASCISM.

Look, you decide for yourself, that's fine, but you're basing it in misstatements and mischaracterizations, not truths.

We don't really know what Stein would do when faced with the impossible decisions that reach presidents (the easy ones all get decided at lower levels). We never will, since she will never be in the Oval Office to make those decisions no matter how righteously you vote for her.

Would you have opposed FDR for bombing Germany, including German children? He was trying to stop Hitler, who killed millions of European children, men and women. Would you not vote for Zelensky, who in defending his nation from Russian invasion undoubtedly kills at least some innocents? Putin is the monster responsible for that killing, and Hamas and Netenyahu are the monsters responsible for the Israeli and Palestinian tragedies. Who would you vote for there?

No one supports genocide except madmen. As a registered member of the Stockbridge-Munsee Community of Mohican Indians, I am perhaps more familiar than you with genocide, American-style. I urge you to take a deep breath, do more research and learn that the world is a complicated and too often brutal place with no easy solutions.

Thanks to people like you who vote for 3rd party losers like Jill Stein who cozies up to Putin, women are now second class citizens, women are bleeding out and dying in hospital parking lots, and little girls are forced to carry their rapist’s babies to term, because trump and the republicans have terrorized doctors to withhold life saving healthcare from women.

Still feeling virtuous?

Grow up!

Your actions have consequences.

Jill is funded by Putin and everything you wrote is false. You ALSO skipped the part where PUTIN SUPPORTED HAMAS AND STARTED THE WAR IN ISRAEL.

Even South Africa has found that there hasn’t been a genocide. There is simply no evidence. But if you prefer a Putin supporter… 🤷🏻‍♀️
