The second Trump regime has begun with its expected awfulness, but the mainstream media have been a bit surprising by actually focusing on the corrupt actions of the new president. In this short On-Target video, Steven Beschloss and I focus on a Washington Post story headlined “Clemency for Oath Keepers, Proud Boys fuels extremism threat, experts say” (gift link). The Post has plenty of problems these days – its owner cozying to Trump, its staff fleeing – but this is a valuable piece of reporting.
