In our view, transparency is important in a democracy whether law enforcement are public servants, not our masters. This issue was at the forefront after the killing of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, when the Trump regime refused to identify the two Border Patrol agents who shot him. But ProPublica, an important independent news outlet, discovered the names and published them.
