A new rookie reporter would know how to get "an insider's perspective" without paying for it, much less $300,000. There are plenty of Republicans who would share their perspective without demanding money. There goes NBC's credibility.

Scores of responsible people have deplored the normalization of political violence, hate speech and election interference during the Trump era. But here we have a major television network hiring a hack who tried to justify the January 6 insurrection, recruited fake electors and even promised a few that she would find lawyers for them. It just reminds us that amoral TV executives care only about ratings.
