One would expect the national news to pick up and run with the sensational stories coming out of Chicago. Of course, I never expected I’d need to cancel the Washington post for being a tool, so there’s that.
Are these grotesquely costumed Thugs demonstrating they are using our cities as training grounds for “the War Department” under alcohol-infused brain Hegseth?

In a September 30, 2025, speech at Marine Corps Base Quantico, President Donald Trump said that American cities should be used as "training grounds" for the military.
Key details from the speech:
Quote: "I told Pete [Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth], we should use some of these dangerous cities as training grounds for our military".
Context: Trump presented the idea to an audience of military leaders, stating that U.S. cities were facing a "war from within" due to crime and unrest.
Targets: He specifically mentioned Democratic-led cities such as Chicago and New York, indicating that they were in need of federal military intervention.
Authority: The proposal drew immediate criticism and raised legal concerns, as using the U.S. military for domestic law enforcement is restricted by laws like the Posse Comitatus Act.
Are these a mix of the thugs Trump pardoned for January 6th and a mix of others bought off with the salary offers? Rappelling in from helicopters?

It is encouraging to know that local legacy media outlets are reporting the unvarnished facts. It is equally appalling that national media is not doing so. As always, your coverage is invaluable.
It would be nice if the democrats would step up and declare we will not deport the undocumented. Instead they hem and haw and mumble. Just can't say it.
As a former local journalist (currently editor and writer), I am thrilled to read this. Corporate media have failed us in so many ways, but the free press carries on.
Great piece! I get so tired of hearing how journalists aren’t doing their jobs and appreciate all the examples you’ve included here that say otherwise!

Thank you Mark Jacob for pointing out the great and dangerous work these local reporters are doing
We need more people to gather the receipts to offset the MAGA propaganda.
Stunning

Except what happened to NPR⁉️
The local version in Chicago, WBEZ, is doing its part.

👏👏👏
This has to be stopped. Trump, Bondi, Patel and Homan are out of control.

A heartening story. Thanks, Mark.
