Every other outlet I found quoted him as saying, with obvious sarcasm, "nearly fell asleep." Getting it wrong once is a mistake. Getting it wrong twice, by different reporters, stinks to high heaven. To have that level of "hearing what you wanted to hear" at a journal of that stature is beyond incompetent.
