Some of the women who buy into the Trump cult seem to be suffering from a similar psychological problem, which is a concern with not being feminine enough. All the women in Trump's circle have a certain look--at least the 20- and 30-year-olds. There does seem to be allowance for wealthy, older women who are not extraordinarily thin and teetering on spike heels. Most of these women prefer to exercise power through men rather than directly, or to think that they are doing so. Their status, for them, depends on the status and power of the men who are their husbands.
For real, dt in his poses would look like a tub of lard with a pea sized head poking out somewhere at the top, minus the wiggy hairdo with a shiny bald pate. Men (and women) who know they have truly important things to do, do not spend hours trying to look good, they just do their work and get on with things. Their attention is to make sure their thoughts and actions are in line with their highest aims. A person who has good ethics and bases their thought and action on those, always look better on the outside (and inside!) than decrepit, amoral, predatory imbeciles. That also goes for both men and women. The inner rot always shows on the outside, no matter how much window dressing is applied.

Watching him strut his pecs before some very decent battle hardened Generals made me sick. Hegseth wants to eliminate toxic leadership. The elimination should start right at the top.
It seems important to separate the male insecurity, or misogyny, from the issues of young men that fail to enter the job market, or are having significant problems with developing real relationships, or marriages, with their female peers. That’s a real problem, but the Fox News BS portrayal about the roles of DEI & Woke, are just aimed at stoking young male rage & are aimed at developing new GOP male voters, while NOT solving the issues young men now face.
Yet every Trump rally includes a lot of worshipful women. That's part of his evil genius -- he can get voters in the very demographics he demonizes to vote for him. Small wonder that the nation is going to hell.

I wouldn't be surprised if he tapes them to the mirrors. And what is it with his cronies like RFK Jr posing with his shirt off? The level of narcissim of those clowns is fast approaching Trump's. It reminds me of those pics of Putin riding around on a horse shirtless. Deeply flawed men with deeply flawed egos. Belittling women is a symptom of those flaws!
As a 60+ female raised in a patriarchal midwestern culture (they meant no harm ? with their profound insecurity), I can attest to the statements in this column. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. Thanks for seeing it and saying it. Their misogyny is probably related to their alleged pedophilia or attraction to younger women. In addition to sadistic cruelty, immature toxic "masculinity" is pretty spot-able by mature women.
