Exactly! Trump's whole point in releasing these criminals is to have an army of thugs at his command as he tries to enforce his fascist agenda.

But where is the outrage from the Democratic Party? Sure, there are stray voices decrying Trump's utter disregard for law and order. However, there is no unified body to counter the lies and shape the narrative as we move forward. Well, here is yet another example of how valuable it would be to have a "shadow cabinet" along the lines that Timothy Snyder has proposed. Trump does want these violent thugs on his side! Stewart Rhodes was at the Capitol. It's shameful! Hopefully they sent him away, but I doubt that is what happened.

I hope the still good reporters can find jobs at other non-oligarch, non big corp owned news media. We have been played by big media for a very long time. They have undermined and betrayed the journalist's code of ethics, integrity and truth. They have smothered the voices of those who tried to uphold it and honor the profession of journalism. We have been living in a media desert. IMO, alternative media outlets need to continue to grow and get louder and take on authoritarian anti-journalism that has been practiced by corporate media. Their tabloid heavy news has given us a tabloid president. Big changes are needed.
