Thank you for stating the obvious! We’ve been conditioned to settle for far too long. This is a time when an outcome just won’t work itself out!

The danger of a dictatorship is prudent; it is not panic. For Americans undecided or discouraged with the Prez. candidates, these same Americans must account for this real danger of losing our democracy.

Thanks so much for sharing this! The main stunning miss from Aydintasbas is how she dismisses the damage Trump *already* did in his first 4 years (other than judiciary appointments, which she still poopoos). And even without holding office he's still been fundraising and controlling GOP Congress members to the point that they currently won't vote in progress on their own #1 issue of immigration, throwing strong conservative Lankford of OK overboard because Trump "doesn't want Biden to have a win". I shudder to think how "cooperative" they will be with Trump if he gets back in office. And this is why down-ballot will matter even more than ever- GOP cannot have both houses, preferably none- they could easily help him declare martial law and suspend elections, constitutional provisions etc. in way less than 4 years. We know several were *already* happy to in 2021.

This is the concern- he may have only ~15% voters who are fully down the QAnon/MAGA rabbit hole, for whom felony convictions are no barrier. But probably 15% more are sympathetic to him than Biden or Dems i.e. historical GOP voters, and maybe double that number aren't paying attention and most likely will vote either their wallet or their culture war if stakes aren't made plain to them. Biden's successes have not undone all previous propaganda damage from the years of Trump wearing us down and largely normalizing his behavior. Frankly, it worked with this journalist who should know better.
