Columbia University few weeks back gave in to trump’s demands in order to get research funding. In the actual agreement it never stated they would get the funds. I asked myself why agree to something where what you want isn’t guaranteed. Well in this article

Columbia isn’t getting the funds.

Why give in when you you get nothing instead of standing on your principles

This also has happened with Big Law Firms that gave into Trump. I had seen a clip from the dinner he hosted last night (Tuesday)I’m still looking for it. The comment he made was law firms are coming to me so many they didn’t do anything wrong but the came. The point that comes across when you “bend the knee” or “kiss the ring” he ridicules you.

Instead of standing on your principles of and fight in court. You probably win

I've been fascinated by which plaintiffs supporting trump's policies are so impoverished as to need pro bono work. DEFENDING trump's policies is the job of the DOJ, and I am delighted how poor a job they are doing so far. Does DOJ need pro bono work to operate??

Yes, indeed. There has been a perceptible shift, both, in the way that the NYT is reporting the news and in its editorials. Thank you for commending them for doing so.

Perhaps I'll start to use my subscription for more than merely playing Wordle.
