Why do you think Woodward and Bernstein have not disavowed this and severed connections? Looks to me like they're pissing away their legacy. If anybody today has ever heard of such a thing.
Washington Post isn't going to change as long as it's controlled by Bezos. Pressure should be put on the NY Times. Newspapers all over the country reprint NYT articles. What the NYT prints can have an impact.
The NYT elected Trump. They created the "her emails" narrative which went viral and infected every corner of the 2016 campaign. I canvassed in the inner city of Cleveland and since 95% of the people I talked to were Black, I encountered no Trump supporters. But I did talk to people who said "Of course I'd never vote for Trump but I just don't like Hillary." And when I asked why, the inevitable answer was "I keep hearing about her emails." Worse, when I asked what about the emails bothered them, they had no idea what it was about! But the NYT framed it in such a way that people were led to believe it was some horrific scandal, never mind the details. I will never forgive them. That's when I decided I would subscribe to the Washington Post. Now that's behind me too!
I have been emailng editors of mainstream media challenging them on their inability, or rather unwillingness, to challenge the lies and hypocricy of this administration.
Trump and his cabinet are not normal. The press should be questioning their intentions and Trump's cognitive decline. Mainstream media will soon lose their publications once Trump tramples them and declares FOX News as the official state media.
It isn't insulting at all. It frames him as having agency and power. It doesn't suggest that what he's doing in unconstitutional, which it is. And they still owe us three weeks of unabated coverage of Trump's "cognitive decline."

Excellent and necessary discussion and critique of the WP story.

FXCK the WASHINGTON POST!
That headline is pretty insulting to Trump. Just not insulting enuf for haters. This is becoming comedic.

"XXXXXX fulfills a dream role: Big-city mayor” is insulting to anyone. Put your name there. Feel good about the insinuation? I didn't think so
