God, he’s an insufferable little shit.

You don't have to hold back, Liz, tell us how you really feel.

If I told you how I really feel, I’d have men in black at my door.

I canceled the Post and the NYT last year after they sabotaged Joe Biden’s candidacy. Like Mark, however, I do like to read a few headlines & articles, so that’s where the public library comes in. Most libraries offer access to both newspapers through their e-library services. I’ve paid the taxes for it, so I don’t feel any guilt. And yes, I love and do subscribe to the Guardian!

JD Hillbilly Vance. Poor, misguided soul that he is. I surmise he sees himself as some type of bad-ass, when in fact he is a bad offense. Given his screed, most people likely can care less about what he has to say. Perhaps his only sense of relevance is to be a caustic downer.

Vance is a geek and a putz. He will never succeed Elon’ s puppet.

The existence of JD Vance and Mike Johnson is better protection for Trump than a phalanx of bodyguards.

Never thought I’d be pleased to see a Daily Star headline ..

They're gonna hate him. But they have their own populist characters. They hate them too.

Excellent piece Mark and Steven. Will have to consider The Guardian for reliable news, thank you both

We may have to stop calling European nations "America's allies" -- those that are led by honorable people won't want to have anything to do with our hellscape.

Other extra-U.S. media other than The Guardian you recommend?

Yes, the Guardian covers major news stories. But what concerns me is the news at the state and local levels.

Richard Donnelly's avatar

Why? Nearly all are ferociously anti-Trump.

Doesn't get down to the rural areas I have lived in and continue to care about.

Richard Donnelly's avatar

Really? Here in the Midwest, the smaller the outlet, the less political. Dramatically so.

Well, when I lived in that county, The Pike Press always supported the publisher's relative -- the Congressman. But I was referencing to the fact that the Guardian doesn't go to that level so I have to seek it out for myself. (Yes, I do tend toward laziness.)

Thanks. I'm saying when it comes to the media, the Repubs would love to be in the Dem's shoes. What don't the Dems like?

Thanks for this. The Guardian is my go-to newspaper.
