Let's not forget that when Trump was attacking Obamacare, he kept insisting he would come up with a plan that would be cheaper and better. It was like his weekly declaration of "infrastructure week." So you really have to be gullible to buy his nonsense now.
Exactly. He only said that over and over and over: "We'll get rid of Obamacare and come up with something better." Any member of the media who doesn't see that he never came up with any proposal should probably find another job.
These are such great quick hits, guys! TY for calling out the media every day. It may not change big media, but you are doing something vastly more effective and important: you are educating and changing the citizenry. We are beginning to liberate ourselves from the tyranny of stale, yesterday’s conventional wisdom brought to us by mercenary corporate suits who don’t give two shits about the country - beyond where to park their money.
It’s delightful to witness the Harris-Walz campaign ignoring the [fake] “rules,” changing the rules in real time, going directly to the American people, and SURGING to an almost instant lead, and toward what may turn out to be a historic win! Onward. We are not going back. Amen.
I mean, one has to assume that the folks running the NYT are intelligent adults. It's beyond me, however, as to why they keep framing their headlines in such duplicitous terms? Why? Aren't they intelligent enough to not know what a Trump regime would represent. Or is it that they are trying to hedge their bets in case he wins in order to ensure that he will not shred the paper along with their careers?
Well, I've news for them: he and his acolytes will destroy the NYT as part of the process of purging what remains of our "free" press. And if they don't believe that, I have the proverbial old bridge to sell them.
Not only, but also. He is a Sociopath motivated by the only 'god' he worships: money. Which, insanely, he is actually better at losing than making. The only reason he has succeeded in R/E Development is because his father left a very competent management team in place when he died.
However, his father died from Alzheimer's albeit in his early 90's, and his father didn't exist on 'junk food' so he would have been in far better health than Herr Drumpf is today. And Herr Drumpf is showing signs of Dementia (Alzheimer's, which is 90% familial) already. My prediction is that when he loses in November we will see a very rapid deterioration into the violent form of the disease. Unfortunately it will probably save him from jail but see him in a padded cell instead.
(I can't wait until Judge Merchan hands down his sentence: that is bound to "bring him out in boils"!)
"He will say anything at any given moment". Otherwise known as "Populist Rhetoric". Going back a few years someone wrote about how he has no original ideas of his own in his head. He simply hears someone say something to appeals to him on the spur of the moment then proceeds to pretend that he has had that point of view for ages himself. And furthermore, if someone even as little as 5 minutes later comes out with something that suits him even better, he will switch to that point of view EVEN IF IT IS DIAMETRICALLY OPPOSED to his previous point of view. He will even deny that he ever held or referred to the previous one. He has in fact done that (I wish I could place the exact incident and moment in time - it was during his time in Office) when within about 5 minutes of saying something in front of the camera he did just that.
He is a pathological liar, aided by the fact of being a sociopath. To him the truth is whatever story happens to suit the moment of telling and he totally lacks the presence of mind to even comprehend that there could be any consequence to his story's. The Willie Brown Heliocopter tale is a prime example. Even when it is 'fact checked' and he has the opportunity to correct himself he is totally incapable of doing so even though it makes him look a complete fool for not doing so.
What is going on with the NYT copy desk? Over and over, you correctly catch them writing misleading heds, and over and over they continue to do it. Have the hollowed out their desk and the editors who approve their headlines? Or is this a terrifically misguided attempt to avoid being criticized as too liberal? (As if, after Maureen Dowd's hostility toward the Clintons, their cheerleading for the Iraq War, their visibily snubbing Biden because he did an interview with Howard Stern instead of their editorial board, etc., etc., etc. The NYT is the Paper of Broken Record.
Of all the issues on which Trump has made “definitive” statements, Obamacare is one in which no reporter or editor should suspend their disbelief and skepticism. Only “Infrastructure Week” deserves more derision.
Peter, Paul & Mary has a perfect song for current events…LINCOLN PROJECT…CAN YOU READ THIS….? “TOO MUCH OF NOTHIN’”…..by the still beloved Peter, Paul & Mary.
It’s a song from the 1960’s…Ask Alexa…listen to the words ….”everybody’s doin’ something; I heard it in a dream…when there’s too much of nothin’ just makes a fella mean…” hear the whole sing…then tell me if you know who the person in question is….😀😀
Nooooo, I’d never known that, gee! We need a JUDGE who really cares about US, understands that a candidate for PRESIDENTIAL OFFICE with questionable mental faculties to order a geriatric/Psych Doctor to examine trump before the election….and, here, I will repeat what I have posted elsewhere…..do we want this candidate, should he win, to have access to the Football, ie, the nuclear codes in his present mental state??? I don’t understand why this has not happened yet. ……For the love of AMERICA, please step up to plate!
He could win perhaps, but I think it is now highly unlikely.
What I do think is likely is that the Republican's are going to 'take a bath' in all but the deepest 'Red' States. Bit of a shame really that Vance doesn't come up for re-election until 2026.

Like Forest Gump said "Stupid is as Stupid does".
