I have heard it will take an extreme amount of money to repurpose the plane. Is it necessary for Congress to approve this?

Also, the Pentagon has taken the plane but the Constitution says Congress is the one to approve gifts -- can this be enforced?

Thank you both, again, for this summary. Here, wishing such topics weren’t so absurd, I imagine no fiction writer could have dreamt up such shameful antics. And, consistently validated by a populace (GOP leading the way) that would rather be entertained, than face reality. A reality that poses such harm to many. “If it doesn’t affect me, it’s not my concern”, seems entrenched in the mindset. Much waste now, and seemingly, sadly, more to come.

Outrage is an important first step. But we need to get people to take action by knocking on doors and phone banking before the midterms. Here in Missouri, hoping to impact national elections (except possibly for Ann Wagner's House seat) is a fool's errand, so we need to work on flipping enough state legislative seats to erase our super minority. There was a rally last Saturday ostensibly to oppose the state legislature sabotaging citizen ballot initiatives that legalize abortion and provide sick pay to workers. There was a great speaker, Jess Piper, but once we all took to the sidewalks with our signs, the guy with the megaphone just led all the standard chants that are fine for an anti-Trump rally but ignored the purpose of this event. I was extremely frustrated, especially since I left the Tesla takedown to be there. So if you're outraged and want change, take action and get focused. Angry chants alone won't get the job done.

By this time you know that Big Bonkers Bill passed, and it's up to the Senate.

And by now you know about not allowing Harvard to have international students--including the current ones. THINK of all those doctoral students unable to finish their dissertations!

Every time we think it couldn't get worse, it does.

In my opinion every republican that voted for the felon owns all the damage, no difference between maga and a republican.

The felon is living in a fantasy world where he rules the earth. I’m waiting for the day he wears a crown and the cape. The rest of the world see the clown that thinks he’s king.
