Thank you, Mark! And, I don't want to "move on" from this frenzy. I can be appalled by ALL this regime's desecration and also enjoy these JUST DESERTS. It could not be happening to a more odious creature. By all means, dump, pursue this suit against The WSJ !
It's fascinating to watch -- or it would be if the well-being and future of the country didn't hang in the balance. MAGA is mostly id -- no ego, no super-ego. Think of a stampeding herd of horses. It can't stop on a dime. If you try to stop it, you'll get run down. Trump thought he was controlling MAGA. Turns out MAGA was controlling him.
MAGA and Trump had a symbiotic relationship, with each getting what they wanted. Take away MAGA getting what it wants, and things get messy for Trump. However, he still has the Tech Bros and the super wealthy, so he probably thinks he can ride it out, even though he gets upset when not worshiped by the MAGAs as of old.
Symbiotic for sure. I wonder about the Tech Bros and billionaires, though, not to mention the Project 2025 crowd and the upper Wall Street types. Most of them have to realize what a frail vessel Trump is in himself. Without the power of MAGA behind him, well, he's still got the power of the presidency but that's starting to look a little Wizard-of-Oz-ish.
I am embarrassed to admit that I had no idea how large the MAGA/Q Anon/crackpot population really is. This is much more than a fringe movement and Dems need to find a counter-toxin. While I am amused by Trump being hoisted on his own petard, I know from bitter experience that hoping your opponents implode is not a sustainable strategy. The main reason the mainstream media is all over this is that it doesn't have to stick its neck out. Media could barbecue Biden for his age because a special counsel and his own donors were addressing it. But without Trump people speaking out about his mental decline, the media is too gutless to take it on.
Yet the NYT headline right now is “How Trump Deflected His Base’s Wrath Over Epstein” and then goes on to say how he turned this divisive moment into a “unifying one”. So confusing.
Teflon Don faces one of his toughest tests of invulnerability to scandal and shame. Though he will survive it, may it weaken his criminal and cruel enterprises!
“MAGA brought this on itself. For Trump supporters, the Epstein case has been a prime example of how powerful people cover up for other powerful people who do terrible things. And they weren’t wrong about that. But the MAGA cult overlooked Trump’s past friendship with Epstein and didn’t mind that Trump’s first-term Labor secretary was Alex Acosta, a former prosecutor who made a secret, lenient deal with Epstein in 2008.””
Oh my goodness, same here in my beloved country of South Africa. No water againnnn in a so called “good” area. The fact that we have paid for our services means nothing to the politicians and rich folks who interrupt our daily work lives with this nonsense every second day now.
If we are complaining and struggling, what about our brothers and sisters struggling in the poorer areas?

They could go 24/7 for the rest of his term and it wouldn't make up for 10 years of their incessant, unabated pro-trump bias.

love the pic. thanks for keeping it in the news, but be ready to switch tactics because I don't think this will carry on the the mid-terms...

Thank you.
Thank you for the collection of details, Mark.

Cry, the beloved country, again.
Too sad.
